Alvaro
Diving Instructor

International Experience
First, Álvaro started teaching in the Mediterranean more than 12 years ago. Then he traveled across South America, working in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina. Afterwards, he moved to Tanzania where he lived many African adventures.Finally, he returned to Mexico.
Passion for Diving
Later, he focused on cave diving, traveling from Cabo Pulmo to Tulum. After this training, he settled on the island in 2014, diving Cozumel daily and dreaming of his own dive shop.
A Unique Instructor
Moreover, Álvaro speaks both English and Spanish. He is passionate, fun, and talkative – even underwater. Thus, he makes every dive an enjoyable experience.
Sharing the Adventure
For example, he loves inspiring new divers and sharing his passion for the ocean. As a result, every dive with him becomes a new adventure on the reefs of Cozumel.

From Social Work to the Ocean
First, Marilyn left a career in social work to follow her passion. Then she completed her IDC in Thailand nearly 15 years ago.
Afterwards, she worked all around the world. Finally, she settled in on the island in 2015, to dive Cozumel daily.
Passion for Teaching
In addition, Marilyn loves teaching and takes pride in her students’ progress.
As a result, even the most nervous divers finish their courses as confident and happy scuba divers.
A Multilingual Talent
Moreover, she speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently, though she always keeps her charming Quebecois accent.
Thus, she easily connects with divers from all over the world.
Her Underwater Passion
Since her first dive, she knew shw wanted to do is as a career. She loves spotting the tiny reef creatures in Cozumel that most divers miss. Above all, her favorite thing is helping new divers improve their skills and feel confortable underwater.
Edu
From Mallorca to Cozumel
Edu was born on the island of Mallorca, Spain. From an early age, he had a free spirit and a strong desire to explore. His travels took him across Asia, from Nepal’s Himalayas to the vibrant coral reefs of Indonesia.
Journey & New Home
When the global pandemic hit, he returned home briefly. In 2020, he packed his backpack and dive gear again to follow his dream. That path led him to Cozumel, where he found stunning Caribbean reefs, love, and a new place to call home.
Diving as a Way of Life
Edu is passionate about nature, especially the ocean. For him, diving is more than a sport— it is a way of life. As a PADI professional in Cozumel, he guides divers of all levels with patience and care. His goal is to share knowledge, build confidence, and inspire a deep love for the marine ecosystem that makes Cozumel a top diving destination.
A lover of nature in all its forms and the sea in particular, Edu lives his passion for diving as a true privilege. He enjoys sharing this magical experience with those who dare to explore the underwater world, passing on not just knowledge but also his love for this marvelous ecosystem.
