Discover Scuba in Cozumel for the First Time
Curious about scuba but not ready for a full course? Our Discover Scuba / try diving program is the perfect start. You will breathe underwater for the first time on Cozumel’s colorful reefs. No certification required. A PADI instructor will guide you step by step. Because we keep small groups, you can feel safe and relaxed.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome & briefing (30–45 min): Learn scuba basics, hand signals, equalizing, regulator and mask clearing. You will also see how to move and breathe with ease.
- Shallow-water practice: Practice regulator recovery, mask clearing, buoyancy control, and calm finning. Always at your own pace.
- Guided reef dive (max 12 m / 40 ft): Enjoy a relaxed tour in warm, clear water with gentle drift. You may see turtles, rays, nurse sharks, and tropical fish.

1 Cozumel Beach Dive
Try Discover Scuba in Cozumel directly from the beach.
This gentle try diving option is perfect for beginners who want a safe first experience. During the confined water practice, you can always stand up, which makes it ideal if you are not yet comfortable in the ocean. The beach entry is also great for those who have never used a mask or snorkel.
What You’ll Do
First, you’ll receive a clear briefing with basic scuba instructions before entering the water. Then, we practice a few simple skills right at the shoreline, always at your pace.
Finally, we descend together to 12 meters / 40 ft where you’ll explore a colorful reef full of marine life

2 Cozumel Boat Dives
With this option, your entire try diving experience takes place from our fast, comfortable boat.First, we complete basic skills in shallow water in a safe, controlled setting. Then we head out foryour first open-water dive to 12 meters / 40 ft on a colorful Cozumel reef.
Two Dives for a Complete First Experience
After a short break on board with snacks and drinks, we return to the water for a second dive on another Cozumel’s beautiful reef. .Most guests feel more relaxed on this dive, so they enjoy the corals, tropical fish, turtles, and rays even more.
